The Torah Bright Mini Shred at Aspen is a fantastic ski/snowboard event specifically designed for kids. The program is run by Olympic Gold Medalist, Torah Bright and is specifically designed for kids aged 7-17 years.

Following on from Thredbo’s Mini Shred

The Torah Bright Mini Shred at Aspen follows on from the success of the Thredbo event, which attracted 350 kids this year. Just like the Mini Shred at Thredbo, you can now spend a whole day learning and progressing in the park at Aspen Snowmass ski resort with Olympic Gold Medalist, Torah Bright. And the event is free!

Aspen Snowmass’ snowpark is continually part of the top 10 of Transworld’s Snowboarding Magazine’s “Best Park’s” poll. The lineup of terrain features a mix of innovation and precise construction to challenge and inspire any skier and rider to elevate their skill levels.

There are roughly 25 features in total at the Torah Bright Mini Shred at Aspen, a progressive line of mid-sized jumps and features including all shapes of boxes and rails. ‘Makaha’ at Aspen Snowmass is a great area for learning new tricks and working on progression.

Torah Bright, Thredbo Mini Shred

The Mini Shred is my favourite day of the year. It’s fun and is all about making new friends to shred with and learn new things in a safe but progressive environment. Come play.

Why Ski Aspen Snowmass?

On Aspen Mountain the powder is a-plenty so there’s plenty for both the kids and the big kids! Here’s a few other reasons you may want to test it out:

  • Aspen was chosen as a location to host the World Cup Finals, that’s saying something!
  • Receives around 5m of natural, fresh powder a year!
  • Located 4 hours from Denver it tends to weed out the day-skier traffic
  • Can be far less busy than other more populated resorts
  • Absence of lift lines, even in the busiest peak winter times!
  • The snow also stays fresher for longer after a storm – so it’s not uncommon to come across untouched stashes at the end of a powder day!

And if you’re after some off snow entertainment after a day on the Slopes, the Aspen village offers an array of restaurants and eateries. Dine in some high-end restaurants and boutiques plus on a non-skiing day make sure to visit landmarks like the Wheeler Opera House.
