Val D’Isère – Amongst the World’s Best Ski Resorts

If you’re thinking about a European ski vacation, there are a lot of good reasons to consider France’s Val d’Isère. Skiing in Europe is a unique, memorable experience. With on-mountain lunches, incredible food and different culture, plus the stunning natural beauty and magical vistas. It’s hard to compare to Val d’Isère‘s 300km of prepared pistes as well as some magnificent and easily accessible off-piste opportunities.

Val d’Isère has three main ski areas – Le Fornet (which is more remote and includes the Glacier du Pissaillas), Solaise (the resort’s central skiing area, easily accessible from the town centre via gondola) & Bellevarde (Val D’Isère’s busiest sector). The resort overall is 5 times larger than North America’s largest ski resort.

Village Life

The unique village in Val d’Isère is currently in the middle of a massive 5 year, 200 million-euro upgrade. This will expand the village and more seamlessly connect it’s pedestrianised core with the slopes.

This is the largest construction project in the French Alps in the past 20 years and will basically add a slope side neighbourhood with new hotels, apartments, and 100 more private chalets.

Val D'Isere

Val d’Isère is also one of the most reliable ski resorts in the world in terms of snowfall. The snow cover is still great in the spring, right up until May. The resort offers a wide choice of special offers featuring spring and summer skiing. You can ski during the summer in the mornings from June to mid-July on the Pisaillas glacier. A shuttle bus offers transport from the village to the foot of the glacier with all-inclusive ski pass and discount for kids. The experience of summer skiing above 3000 meters is something unique!

If you want to experience the best of European skiing, Val d’Isère in the French Alps near the Italian border, is a great choice – and it is only getting better.
