Finding things to do in St. Moritz, the luxury alpine resort town in Switzerland’s Engadin valley is never hard. St Moritz ski resort is easily reachable from Zurich airport on the Glacier Express. The journey takes approx. 3.5hrs and is one of the most spectacular train journeys you will ever take. Hot tip: make sure you hop on the last carriages with the top-to-bottom panorama windows! (it’s only an extra CHF5 per person!).

St Moritz ski resort is predominantly known for its 322 days of annual sunshine, family-friendly slopes and high concentration of luxury boutiques. Where to Ski at St Moritz?

There’s over 350kms of terrain across 4 main areas – Corvatsch, Diavolezza (Lagalb), Corviglia (Piz Nair) & Zuoz, all on the one lift pass. The choices at St Moritz ski resort are endless! Corvatsch, a short bus ride from St Moritz, is a favourite for many. Reason being it does not get as crowded as Corviglia and is sensational on a powder day. After a great day on the hill, be sure to do the Hahnensee run. This 9km descent from the top of Corvatsch to St. Moritz Bad is simply stunning.
And if you still haven’t had enough once the sun goes down, every Friday night, Corvtasch also offers night skiing. This is the longest illuminated night run in Switzerland!
Tip for lunch: Wanting an inexpensive lunch? You can’t go past the wood-burning pizza from Corvatsch’s mid station restaurant or a burger from Hossa Bar.

Another popular day trip option includes spending a day at Diavolezza. This pretty resort is a 30 min bus trip from St Moritz. Here you can ski on Switzerland’s longest prepared glacier descent. It is a 10 kilometres long (45min) descent and ends just in front of the station of the Rhaetian Railway in Morteratsch. The Rhaetian Railway will take you back to the Diavolezza or Lagalb car parks. Hot tip: If you happen to be in St Moritz during a full moon- make sure you check the schedule for full moon skiing in Diavolezza. It truly is a special experience having dinner at the Diavolezza mountain restaurant followed by a few runs under moon light.
